While searching for a birthday gift for my mum, I stumbled upon SKII boutique spa and I must say, it turned out to be the perfect choice.

From start to finish, they were very nice and welcoming. I was nervous as we've never been to any facial but this visit really exceeded our expectations. They greeted us warmly upon arrival and were very attentive. As we filled up my mum's particulars, Micole noticed that my mum's birthday is the next day and surprised her with a small cake after her session! It was a thoughtful gesture that made my mum's day even more special. Micole did a skin analysis for my mum and explained her skin condition thoroughly and even let me try the skin analysis even though I was not the one going for facial heheh. They also provided us with tasty tea and snacks and even a special mooncake in celebration of the mid autumn festival.

After my mum's facial, she was smiling from ear to ear and I could notice that her face was glowing even after just one session. Cally was the one who did her facial and my mum told me that she was very satisfied with the care Cally had put in. My mum said that Cally had very good hands and her massage techniques made my mum really relaxed and enjoyed the entire process. Upon seeing my mum's satisfaction, we couldnt resist but sign up for a package for future sessions.

The first 4 sessions were unlike I've ever experienced in any other facial spa -and that is amazing considering I've been going to so many facial places in South East Asia almost monthly the past 10+ years. It's a very relaxing experience with great results.

However it's such a shame the 5th and last session I had on the 8th of March didn't quite hold up this standard. Not only did I break out for the following few days after the facial -it just wasn't as relaxing as the other sessions. I believe the aesthetician was quite exhausted and didn't have the capacity to deliver the warmth the experience had prior to this experience. I kept expressing how painful the extraction felt on that particular session and she replied in a very cold, exasperating manner "because your skin is dehydrated!" As if she was blaming me.

Despite this, I wanted to thank her personally after the session, after all I did have a great time throughout the 5 sessions with exceptional results. When I turned to her in at the front desk however, she looked up with a very cold smile "that's it, no need to do anything else!"

Look, I know I'm WAY younger than the typical clientele SKII caters to. But that should not be a prerequisite for any kind of disrespect.
