Extremely disappointed in the bad service, staff kept twisting their words around and gas lighting the Bereaved family by the lady Kim. She has given wrong instructions to the family since the beginning, and then changed the instructions on multiple occasions when things had already been done based on her initial instructions, and even rudely pronounced the family members painstaking efforts to be FAKE - it is utterly inconsiderate, insensitive and completely rude for a service provider.

Kim also constantly guilt trips the family that we need to be understanding towards her as she is old and tired from doing spring cleaning. SFS team has to also empathise with the family and understand the tiredness, heartache and confusion of the bereaved; we are exhausted and sleep deprived.

All we ask for is a good send off for our loved one and we trusted them for their expertise but yet they have rendered us helpless and neglect/abandon us to fend for ourselves in this difficult time. Numerous arrangement had to be done by the family ALONE with no proper guidance despite being promised beforehand. Do not trust their service.

Kim has been extremely unprofessional the past day. She has given multiple wrong instructions, showed up extremely late (by several hours) and did not fulfil any of the promises she made.

Worst of all, she made unforgivable remarks that are offensive to the family members and she cursed the family members that we will not be healthy if we are being ‘calculative’ towards her. All we want are answers and clarity on the procedures and formality, we are not being calculative. When we ask her questions about the burning of hell notes, she lectures us that we need to be humble in life to be liked by others. ?????

The deceased doted on his children and grandchildren a lot and the fact that Kim uttered such awful unspeakable things about the HEALTH of the family, in the presence of the wake, is the ultimate form of disrespect and we are extremely heartbroken.

We have extended our utmost patience towards her since the beginning and with a clear conscience the family has spoken respectfully and politely to her in the presence of Buddha, yet she chose to belittle and dismiss the family.

Please take disciplinary actions and we request a proper apology

There was nothing personal against Kim since the beginning, in fact the family had engaged Kim before and was very satisfied previously. Unfortunately, today Kim has crossed the line and managed to turn a family of extremely satisfied clients into a family who deeply regrets choosing her service today.

It is not just one or two issues, there are multiple issues during the past whole day. and it is not just one or two family member who is upset, but the entire family especially the elders have witnessed and experienced her unpleasantness first-hand today.

The family has realised there is no resolution in directly speaking to Kim because she simply refuses to listen or communicate at all. She pushes the family members away by saying she does not want to talk to us, walks away from conversations, and insists we should give in to her simply because of her age.

We encourage the founder/director to talk to the family to truly understand the issues we face with Kim and work out a better solution...

Overall the service was very good.

Stoney was a very proactive, professional, friendly and helpful and responsive director. Her team was also very professional and responsive.

The buffet food for 2 days were nice as feedback by guests.

The entire process was smooth.

Negative points:

1. Many guests feedback (including myself) that my father's face did not look like his original look. It seemed to be overly touched up. Maybe the team in charge of makeup or embalming should take a photo of my father as a reference so that they can match as close as possible to original look (if that was not done).

2. The prices were abit more expensive when my church preacher mentioned the prices of the usual funeral services which my church often used. E.g. nightwatcher was 180 per night but my church one was 140.

Some items were included by my church's funeral partner but for your package they were addons.

3. The sound system was partially faulty. the 2nd mic in the mic case was not working. We preferred to have 2 mics.

When we use the 1st mic, at certain angles (which are considered typical holding angles), the sound could not project properly to the crowd far behind. We had to tilt the mic quite high, almost levelled horizontally to our mouth and hold close to the mouth in order for the sound to be properly heard by the people far behind. This caused those far behind to fail to hear important spiritual messages spoken by us.

4. The information in the obituary notice was abit unclear to certain guests. It only mentioned the 2nd night have memorial service by my church but did not mentioned that there was also normal wake in the first night. It makes some guests think that the wake only started on 2nd night and 1st night had no normal wake. Should have stated that 1st night also have normal wake.

The service provided by the team was exceptionally professional and thoughtful. In a time of great distress and confusion, everyone in the team took immense care in handling our situation. The news of our loved one's passing came so suddenly, and we were overwhelmed. Yet, the compassion and efficiency demonstrated by the team made a significant difference.

I would like to take this opportunity to compliment Gerald's operations team. We couldn't name everyone individually, as we don't know all their names, but their collective effort was deeply appreciated. From the moment we reached out, Gerald’s team was attentive and empathetic, ensuring that all our needs were met with great consideration.

Additionally, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the other staff members who provided invaluable advice and support. Their guidance on what needed to be done, and how best to proceed, was crucial in helping us navigate this difficult time. The comprehensive care they offered—from the initial contact through to the very end—was remarkable.

The final send-off for our late loved one was very well executed. We were profoundly touched by the meticulous attention to detail and the respectful manner in which the service was conducted. The entire process, from the hospital administration to the ash scattering arrangement, was handled with utmost professionalism and sensitivity.

In summary, Gerald’s team, along with the other staff members, were incredibly helpful in every aspect. Their dedication and support went beyond our expectations, providing comfort and relief during an otherwise trying time.
