Warning about the unit BLOCK 35, #17-17
I write this due to my experience with the owner who continually cheated, lied and wrongfully stole part of the deposit. Not an uncommon occurrence in Singapore however this owner is reprehensible in her behaviour. Refused to come and inspect the apartment prior to handover and only visited whilst we were away sending random pictures on whatsapp. Upon handover she then came up with more issues that were not valid. After we had left the country she then added on further items that she wanted changed and deducting from our deposit without any evidence whatsoever. On multiple occasions denied any costs that fell under wear n tear or minor repair clause during the tenancy. Threatened to entirely withhold the deposit (3 months worth) if I did not repaint the entire apartment, yet when I moved in the apartment was not painted. Talked down to and ordered the movers and other handymen as if they were animals - I received comments from the workers about her behaviour and attitude towards them. Our helper was blamed for breaking the aging washing machine after 6 months, the cooker hood was no longer in production, therefore filters and other replacement parts were not available and so I was told I damaged it so would not cover anything under minor repair.
When we had decided to move out she then avoided her previous agent that had looked after the unit and helped me pay additional cost of the items the owner refused to cover under minor repair. She then called his prospective tenants directly after they had already viewed. Lest we talk about her refusal to pay GST on the agents fee in the first place. An unpleasant character to say the least and I am thankful to no longer have anything to do with her.
In regards to the management, one of the poorest I have come across in 13 years of condo living. I requested the details of suppliers that built various parts of the unit 3 times over the phone and told each time that a list did not exist. I then asked multiple other condo MCST’s elsewhere who easily provided such lists and advised me the people working in my condo were just being lazy. After visiting the office directly they suddenly had a full list to hand.
As for the condo itself, it is great for families and good facilities, though upkeep of them...

Read moreConsider of the location, facilities, layout and spacious land size, probably it's the best Condo in the east side of Singapore. The whole project's public area just finished renovation in year 2018, everywhere looks new. It has big and beautiful swimming pools. The GYM is not like typical condo's mini GYM, it's big and has a lot of work out equipment. Basketball court, tennis court, BBQ pit... all facilities are spacious. Another plus point is the location, it's in the heart of Katong area, just opposite to Parkway Parade shopping mall, 1 mins walking to Katong V shopping mall, and a short walking distance to I12 Katong shopping mall.
