A lovely hike and not to strenuous. The path can be a bit treacherous in the winter where its snowy and slippery on exposed parts and muggy and slushy in the wooded parts. The cafe at the top makes some lovely hearty grub and warm fruit teas. I would also recommend a quick slug from the spirit cabinet.

Awesome place to be in and enjoy nature surrounded by mountains and a valley with town. The view is fantastic. Driving to this mountain may be challenging for some since the unpaved road is mostly narrow. A beautiful bench to sit and relax on the other side of the hotel.

Lep razgled na cerkniško polje, Snežnik, greben Javornikov, Nanos, Triglav... Pot iz Cerknice lepo označena, markacije dovolj pogoste, ne preveč strma, primerna tudi za manjše otroke. Obisk priporočam ob suhem vremenu, v mokrem je pot precej blatna. Koča pod vrhom nudi pijačo in hrano od čet. do ned., pon. do sre. zaprto. Mešani štrudel zelo okusen - 3.5 €/kos - priporočam. Osebje hitro, prijazno in ustrežljivo. Na samem vrhu tudi skrinjica z žigom.

Sadly, but food was far from good. Would it kill you if you give a carrot or two in a barley soup? Or a a bit more beans into "Jota". Otherwise it is a nice spot to go on a sunny day, but bring your own sandwich with you. Sorry for a bad critique, hope this will push you to improve the quality...
