It flows for some time as a border river between Slovenia and Italy, continues in Slovenia and then crosses the border and continues in Eastern Friuli, in northeastern Italy. It is the main tributary of the Torre and a sub-affluent of the Isonzo.

Tamar in njena Nadiža sta resnično lep kraj. Nadiža je majčkeno skrita v gozdičku. Kadar je dosti vode se tudi precej sliši. Ni sicer veličastni slap je pa lep ;)

Ena lepših stvari, ki jh boste lahko videli na poti v Tamar. Slap Nadiža, prikaže, kako čudežna je narava, sredi stene je izvir slapu, ki prihaja iz globin, kar si lahko lepo ogledate, ko prisopihate do njega, po ne preveč naporni strmini. Tudi sam pogled na dolino in okoliške vrhove je vreden poti navzgor, ki traja kakih dvajset minut in res...

Obavezno posetiti. Hidroloski je ovo izvor (vrelo) Save. Uspon traje 20 minuta. Pogled i osecaj vrede muke. Obavezno svratiri na "zganjce" u obliznjem restoranu koji je pristojan...
