We had an unforgettable canyoning experience with Marthinus of Paradise Adventures! Marthinus is the heart of the operation, running things with a personal touch that sets it apart from bigger commercial providers—think of a chef crafting and serving your meal. For our smaller group, it was just him, and his deep knowledge of the area made us feel completely safe and cared for. (For larger groups, he brings in extra guides, keeping things seamless.) The canyoning tour felt like stepping into an Avatar movie set—absolutely stunning. He supplies all the gear except shoes, so bring non-slippery ones and confirm the best type with him beforehand. Exceptional. Both my wife and I have participated in the trips, offered by Paradise Adventures, on multiple occasions and every time they are amazing. The owner is very professional and at all times we felt safe and were given excellent guidance and instructions throughout the adventures. These trips can sometimes challenge you to push you beyond your 'comfort zone', but essentially that is what makes them so exciting. The sense of the accomplishment at the end is very satisfactory, and all this being said I would emphasize that the trips are safe and managed by experienced professionals. The best experience you could ever gift yourself!!! We had our second adventure with Marthinus and did an overnight under the stars. It was so much fun and relaxing being out in nature. Marthinus is extremely skilled and knowledgeable with canyoning and the outdoor which made me (someone afraid of heights) feel safe and push myself out of my comfort zone. He customised our experience for us, planned all the food and helped us with gear we didnt have and even treated us to some amazing wine to compliment the food.
