No Fixed Address Food Concept — Local services in Bellville

When I decided to host a party at our studio to celebrate my amazing wife Camille on her birthday, there were a few “must haves” on my list. Surrounding her with as many of her loved ones as our space could accommodate, providing those people with an opportunity to share their love and feelings about her, and treating those beautiful souls to a truly memorable party experience.

We, and the vast majority of our guests, are passionate about food, so it was a major priority to ensure that creative, beautiful, and delicious fare was part of the celebration experience. Steve, and his “No Fixed Address” team blew us all away with their talents and service! Far from the standard cocktail/appetizer offerings we are all too familiar with – Steve treated our guests to wave after wave of delightful, balanced, texture rich bites, 12 in all! I never grew tired of watching the eyes of our friends and family “bug out” when they embarked on the next step of the culinary journey Steve had so thoughtfully planned out – it was no surprise that so many asked about NFAC’s contact details by the end of the night ☺.

There isn’t space to go through each offering in detail, but to give you a feel for the kind of food Steve creates, I thought I’d highlight our two favourites. Camille still smiles when she describes the “Soy Ginger Cured Red Spring Salmon on Crispy Nori Chip w/ Chili Lime Fraiche Dressing, Asian Pear, and Thai Basil”. I happen to be a duck fiend, so Steve’s “Duck Au Poivre w/ Crispy Triple Cooked Crispy Chunky Chip, Roasted Onion Bechamel w/ Peppercorn Sauce” makes my mouth water as I write this. Beyond incredibly tasty, Steve’s bites are also substantial – no guest left our party hungry!

We cannot recommend No Fixed Address Catering highly enough. Steve is clearly passionate about what he does, but his authentic good nature, and desire to please, made the planning process a breeze. He and his team executed their vision beautifully, and no one at our party could stop talking about the food. What more could I ask for?

I first tasted Steve’s unique cuisine at a wedding and knew immediately that this was on a completely different scale than any of the catered food I’d experienced in Vancouver. I wouldn’t know where to begin to describe it, it’s simply gastronomy taken to the genius level. Unpredictable combinations of food are bundled artistically to create different taste and sensory sensations in the mouth, in a way that makes you want to defer swallowing.

I tried him out on a dinner party for 14 and continued to be extremely impressed. My next event was for 80 people, and I was delighted to discover that he put the same amount of exacting care into the quality of food and service that he did for 14. Recently, Steve catered my fundraiser for 325 people. I was concerned that there would be enough food and that all our guests would be equally attended to. Steve brought a small army with him to ensure every attendee would leave full and satisfied. His servers were all attractive, personable and well-dressed, and seemed hand-picked to present food of this high caliber. Our guests raved about the food in our post-event survey and listed it as one of the top favourite aspects of the evening. I’m hesitant to recommend Steve as I would like to ensure he continues to be available for all my future events, but ultimately, Steve deserves to be recognized as one of, if not the top...

How does a mother organize catering for a wedding where most guests are Foodies, the groom has worked as an executive Chef in Five Star Hotels, and the Bride and Groom live in South Africa??! I started with a Google search of BEST Catering in Vancouver and up Popped NFA. I quickly dialed the number listed and Steve answered (rare these days to have a real person on the line) and I immediately detected a South African Accent, a good sign I hoped!! I met with Steve and his passion for food led to the creation of a unique and creative menu showcasing all the amazing bounty our west Coast has to offer.I was sold !! He made the whole process effortless and the day of the wedding , Steve and his team worked as one efficient body delivering the food to the guests with utmost professionalism.Everyone Raved about how Wonderful the food was, from the appetizers to the the main Dinner service.
