Diep River Trail — Local services in Cape Town Ward 62

This is an excellent walk if you want to get "out there" but still be within the city limits.

It's far more popular with mountain bikers, but taking a relaxing walk in this environment is pretty rewarding as there is ample bird life and great vegetation on which to feast your eyes.

Even during hot days, the trees provide enough shade so that it's an overly draining walk.

I would recommend parking at Klaasenbosch Drive and walking up as there is limited parking on Southern Cross Drive.

Either way, it's a great little walk and there is a feeling of safety because of all the security cameras deployed in the area.
