Muizenberg Cave is much bigger than the photographs suggest and it can be accessed from either the Muizenberg side (Bailey’s Kloof or Peck’s Valley) or the Silvermine side from Gate 2.
To be fair, it’s easier via the Silvermine side at about 1 hour, while from the Muizenberg side, it will take around 2 hours for the moderately fit.
The cave is pretty impressive and very quiet once you get inside.
Exercise caution as there are signs of unusual habitation in the cave, but it’s a treat to reach it.
