I have visited various different hides within the Kruger National Park and I can honestly say, the Lake Panic Bird Hide located close to the Skukuza Rest Camp is one of my favorites. During my visits, I've consistently had beautiful sightings ranging from large groups of elephants to crocodiles, hippos, and of course a wide variety of different bird species. Many a yellow-breasted finch, a stork in the thicket, small water birds & a broad-headed eagle up high. So active & chirping those finches! A croc was to be seen blocking the way of 2 kudus to the water. And 2/3 hippos were noticeable far off in the lake. Full use of our binoculars was made! Oh yes.
