Cape Grand China — Local services in Milnerton

This place is total chaos and disorganisation with lots of dodgy looking people loitering around the parking area and entrances. Big boxes of stock are piled in the middle of the walkways making it difficult to walk and browse, and you also have to watch where you're going or risk getting mowed down by some over laden trolley.

Majority of the shop owners are disinterested and have their faces buried in their phones whilst their staff shuffle pointlessly around the shop shouting at the top of their voices to each other. Most items don't have prices on them, or the price on the shelf doesn't correspond to the item. Most stores don't accept card payments, or there's a minimum purchase amount before they will allow you to pay by card. It seems they have not kept up with the times and haven't realised that post-Covid a lot of people prefer to pay by card and not handle cash.

Give this place a big miss unless you're a sucker for a bad shopping experience in an environment that varies from dubious toxic smells to icy cold and enjoy non-existent...

The general distrust some of the owners have about customers does not make for a pleasant shopping experience.

I was told to leave my bag on the floor in the front of the store - the one with my money, ID, drivers driver's license and lap top. All this done with shouting hey hey, pointing to my shoulder and then the floor. I let her know my lap top is in my bag and she unhappily let it go.

When paying, my bag was open off my shoulder and she had a good look inside and was unfortunately disappointed as I had not stolen anything as suspected.

The staff is friendly though. Passages are dirty and some have limited maneuvering space.

Good place to visit if you enjoy mazes and have loads of time on your hands to navigate the passages. Plenty of parking available outside. Security at the gate is friendly...

Cape Grand China Mall is what it sounds like, a bulk purchasing haven. They have lots of good stuff here, if you have time to browse and be patient. The asian grocer is the best in CT, lowest prices and so many options. Their fresh tofu is delicious and silky and all the greens are bomb. The wholesale beauty store is insane too - so many good finds.

I just had to write this review as I read the others and it sounds like a whole load of karens complaining about foreigners.
