An amazing trip out to see the sharks. It’s something we have wanted to do for years, and the only disappointment was we didn’t see the great white, however the sightings for these are rare and Dwight had made us aware of this before booking. He was very honest and helpful. Picked us up from the hotel in Cape Town and drove us to Hansbay but also stopped off to do a bit of whale spotting. Dwight was very accommodating when we called him last minute to ask if he can extend the tour down to Cape Agulhas which he did (at a modest increasing in price for his time and milage) we could not have thanked him enough for this as a trip all that way is pointless without vising the point where the Indian ocean and the Atlantic Ocean meet. We arrived at refreshments and a briefing place, once on the boat and got to the dive area, got kitted out in our wetsuits and took in turns to drop into the cage. The sharks appeared almost straightaway. Due to our tour group being quite large we didn’t get a lot of time in the cage as we would have hoped for. One peace of advice is to ensure you take travel sickness tablets before hand as it can get quite choppy. After everyone got had a chance to get in the cage, we returned for debrief and very welcome hot soup and bread. All in all a very good day. We were lucky to have Dwight as driver and guide. Nice talks with him during the long drive from CT to Hermanus & Gansbaai. Both activities were very well organized and made us have an unforgettable experience. The only little negative point was that we could not see the Great White. Of course it is not on their hands. It seems that watching Great Whites is every year a less probable thing to happen. Again, not their fault. In any case we could see around 10 wales very close to the boat and dive with more than 10 bronze sharks. Big as 2-3 m....

Had an excellent experience today with Shark Diving. Co. We'd had a challenge getting to Mossel Bay after two flights had been cancelled. Finally we made it and it was worth every penny. We were lucky enough to encounter 3 white sharks. The experience in the cage was amazing, as was being on deck viewing these incredible creatures in action. Shout out to Allen and the team.
