What a nightmare..avoid this venue at all cost. While venue has a beautiful view everything else was terrible especially their food. For a 60th birthday function venue who catered for it it was horrible and unappetizing. Funxtion on 4 January 2025 ..Lunch was served late. Seems like it was the food of the day before..coleslaw looked brown and had no taste..potatoe salad..potatoes was still hard..mentioned it to whoever she was walking past me and saying she will see what she can do about it..until this day never got back to me not that there was anything they could do to rectify. The chicken wings were tasteless..the chop had a foul taste and was tough..guests made fun that they were taking it home and braising it to make it more tender and the sausage..enough said..I'm sure you know. My son's stomach was upset when we got home. Thank goodness for the company..it was good..thank goodness.. To crown it all we had to eat with lots of flies and their dogs roaming around us while we asked them to keep their dogs at bay it was not adhered to. Saying they cater for kids is an understatement..the pool was green and we were told it was about the sand in the pool but you could see it was not looked after and kept clean..it was algae..even the jumping castle was not set up when we got there and was dirty. Even the bathrooms were terrible..Visibly there were no workers there but a gentleman who had to see to the pool see to the jumping castle and the cash bar..then there was the lady who sat not to far from us..seemingly or unseemingly probably keeping an eye on us..why I really do not know. Not a place I would recommend. Please avoid going to this place especially do not eat their food. For the price we had to pay per head even for kids it was ridiculous..we had kids there aged 3 having to pay...

Horrible Experience at Dtrekker

While the venue itself boasts breathtaking scenic views, unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. Our experience on 30 November 2024 was nothing short of a disaster due to the appalling food, service, and overall hygiene.

Food Quality: Multiple guests suffered from food poisoning, and the food served was of extremely poor quality. Raw chicken strips were served, which is not only unacceptable but dangerous. Service Delays: Food was served almost two hours late, leaving guests frustrated and hungry. Insufficient Food: They did not have enough food to serve all the guests. Shockingly, it was later discovered that food had been set aside for the following day's function while some guests at our event went without. Hygiene Issues: Dogs on the premises were roaming freely among the guests, creating an unhygienic and unsafe environment. One dog nearly attacked a guest and was seen eating leftover food from the floor. Dirty Crockery: The crockery provided was chipped and still dirty, adding to the already dismal level of hygiene and carelessness. Overall Nightmare: The entire experience was chaotic and unacceptable. While the venue is undeniably beautiful, I strongly urge you to avoid their catering services and overall management at all costs. Save yourself the disappointment and potential...

We were here for our end of term, 11th of December 2024. Our experience at this venue was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were not welcomed and had to find our own way while asking questions to understand how things were supposed to work and if the staff even knew who we were.

The barman was unfriendly, and the drinks section was appalling—cooldrink and wine bottles were covered in dust and dirt, making it clear they had been neglected for ages.

We only got to eat at around 3 PM, just before we had to leave, and even then, there wasn’t enough food for everyone. The food that was served was undercooked, raw, and completely bland. The salads were particularly bad, to the point of being inedible.

The service throughout was dismal. Booking the venue should have been our first warning. They never responded to emails promptly, often taking days to reply, even after we had paid a deposit.

This venue does not meet any standard of professionalism or hospitality. I would not recommend it to anyone. Save yourself the frustration and...
