I'd give the farm stall 5 stars, but the restaurant is also a part of Nanaga and can't be reviewed seperately. With the way the pies have changed and the restaurant experience taken into account Nanaga's quality has definitely dropped.
Chicken schnitzel looks nice, but it's a bit chewy and the sauce is nothing special. When the chips and salad are better than the chicken (which is supposed to be the main part of the dish) you should know something is not quite right.
Restaurant staff are not very attentive and the waitresses don't seem very happy to be working here. The restaurant has potential (the interior is beautiful and there's aircon for in the summer), but both the food and service definitely needs to improve.
Pies are no longer what they once were, and we would no longer drive out for them alone like we would do before. Luckily we found that the baked goods still had exceptional quality treats. So glad we got a great chocolate cake at the farm stall that made the long drive absolutely worth it.
Staff at the counter of the original farm stall section were friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff could definitely learn a thing or two from the staff of the farm stall.
Will definitely visit for the cake again and hope to see the quality of Nanaga...

Nanaga is one of those places that feels nostalgic, but over the years it has unfortunately lost its touch.
Only being in SA for one month before going back abroad, this was a stop I HAD to make as it always meant good memories … but not today.
We went for the pies, because nothing hits like a Nanaga pie, and this is where it gets bittersweet (part 1). I ordered the Sausage Roll and the Lamb Curry pie. The Lamb Curry pie was amazing and bursting with flavour, but the Sausage Roll was horrible and the worst pie I had in my life. It smelt horrible and tasted horrible.
Then came the customer service; bittersweet (part 2). The staff and especially one lady were extremely rude and nonchalant about assisting me and my family, plus when asking which pie she recommended, she shrugged , whispered something to her colleague and they both laughed at us. But then you get to the counter to pay and you have THE friendliest ladies assisting you with your payment and making jokes or even asking about your day.
Ai Nanaga, dis jammer. You’ll always be close to my heart, but after today it is not worth it to go back for another bittersweet experience from one of my favourite...
