A visit to 3 rondavels was tremendous but left us trembling as a family at the same time. Our 1.5 year old; the only daughter, almost fell from the cliff, but I was lucky to grab her before her hands let go off the hand rails. as she was demanding to be off my hands to move around on her own. While busy taking pictures and all overwhelmed by the beauty of nature, "a thief was crawling" ; we could not notice her that all of a sudden; she quickly stepped up the bunger wall where hand rails are attached; and due to her tiny body, she protruded through the spacing of the handrails but her hands was still holding on and I was able to quickly grab her. My goodness!!!! My plea to Mpumalanga Tourism: 1. Is to REDUCE THE HANDRAIL SPACING to accommodate the TINY little Ones and to prevent future fatalities on tiny children. 2. To increase warning signs as a reminder to parents to pay attention on Kids, cos too much excitement at times opens that gap to such Incidents reflecting a parent to appear irresponsible. My plea to Parents: 1. Let’s watch out as we visit those nice but dangerous Nature reserves with our little ones!!!!! Regards ME Dlamini +27724132790

We had a 30 minute stop on our way back to Johannesburg after our safari. Beautiful views, enjoyed the quick stop.

The Three Rondavels are located at the Blyde River Canyon which in itself offers amazing panoramic views. There is a small entry fee to the BRC I can’t quite remember how much it was. It’s worth the price though, been up here and looking at the scenery was very calming and relaxing. The view is amazing. If you do visit the BRC take note that you might have to wait in line to get to the view point there’s high foot traffic and lots of groups visiting the BRC.

We didn’t wait too long but just bare that in mind. Situated in the panoramic route...

The Three Rondavels lookout point is one of the must see locations for anyone travelling in the area, it is one of those bucket list views that everyone wants to see and the gate fees are relatively inexpensive (R 25 per person on the writing of this review). The only problem that I had with the area was that there was an informal and littered setup at the start of the short walk to the lookout point, but don't let this put you off, its still certainly worth it. I would recommend this for all nature lovers and it is the perfect place to...
