Took my 1 year old and 4 year old to play here, they had a blast. Only problems compared to old avenues venue is that the play area is not wheelchair friendly or pram friendly , I believe this will be a major setback for the place, luckily I never brought the pram, however my kids had a blast and kudos to complimentary coffee for us adults .
Another setback was having 1 carer available meaning if there is a child left alone to be cared for , then other kids/younger kids may be neglected / customers wanting to purchase items etc..
However lady was very friendly and playful with my little ones, I just felt the place was a bit too quiet for a Sunday despite previous venue always having kids when we come through on a Sunday , need more displays to show where the venue is . Maybe some promos to get the kids in, unless I was unlucky on a quiet day
Also would be nice to have some outdoor loungers like previous avenues venue.
Adult room is nice however previously was better overlooking the whole play area, TV does assist , but would be nice to have more cameras for outside area aswell + jungle gym area and maybe some see saws, also maybe some chalkboards for the kids, large chalk / colouring...

They are so grateful for this space, and there is no way it's going out of fashion any time soon. The kids are allowed to use the facilities from 8am till 16h30 on the typical weekday for a reasonable price of R120pp. The day is topped off with a team of professional child minders, a skilled first aid provider, CCTV system visible, clean and homey sanitary facilities, WiFi, work benches with wide view of the kids, and the kitchen is fully functional serving a wholesome simplicity at an affordable price. There are many payment options available for immediate payment ie. Zapper, EFT, cash, card... Making life much easier for those of us with limited access to ATMs... You can drop off and go about your errands and not worry about the safety of your little one. Plus they are having the time of their lives. The setup allows for a child to explore and develop the independent play ideal. Are you heading out to the avenues...
Read moreI went to Imagination Land late one afternoon with my mother and daughter and was dirrected to eat my food in the back room rather than outside where we had chosen. It took me a half an hour or so to eat my food and in the mean time my daugter had been happily playing with the two ladys there. When I quietly went down the the middle room one of the ladies was presenting my daugter with a red and black snake, I dont know what the intention was of this and my very young baby didnt see any harm in it but I wouldnt leave any child alone with these people, perhaps the snake incident was innocent but it made me feel uncomfortable and I dont think it would have happened if I was watching. I would go there again but leave my child there alone, no way. I say this having no competion with the establishment...
