We wanted self catering & a large kitchen/lounge/dining area as there would be 25 of us at one point!! The place has the most beautiful views, large rooms with excellent, warm duvets for those chilly winter nights......the large fireplace indoors was a huge bonus, as was the large braai catering for all those guests. Service was excellent with Thabo on hand answering loads of questions before arrival, cleaning staff very friendly & we even arranged [at our expense] to have them come back after braaing to help clean up {Boks were playing & we needed to get into town to watch!!] Apart from that, we didn't miss the TV at all, wi-fi was good throughout the house & we brought our own music for entertainment. We wondered around the assortment of shops on site, making various purchases. A few tackled some of the walking/jogging tracks around......but mostly we just chillaxed with the stunning scenery in the background. Recommend bringing slippers as the floors are cold in winter!! Lovely time had by all. Highly recommend this place...
Read moreThis was a rare and wonderful find. Everything was out of the ordinary but extraordinary. The accommodation was wonderful with everything we could possibly need and more. The unusual industrial architecture tastefully furnished with the most unusual retro finds gave it a real modern day look which made us feel we could stay longer than our 3 night booked stay. Exposed brick and piping, industrial windows, a wonderful wood burner, definitely needed and the unusual kitchen cabinets just made our two bedroomed apartment a special stay. The lovely white linen, electric blankets and very well thought out shower and toilet facilities was great. The shops, restuarants and the very special community garden available to us was a delightful discovery. Truthfully, we didnt harvest anything from there because the pizza place, bakery and coffee shop offered us so much choice already that we only braaied once. Sizwe's breakfasts are absolutely delicious and his friendly and cheerful manner made us feel right at home. This is a must experience! Make a long weekend of it, it will be worth your while. And we took our dog which...
