A great view of nature such as cliffs, valley and flowers is truly amazing! I personally think the view is the actual element in this spot, not the temple. It takes about 15 minutes from ticket office to the temple on foot. Although driving a car to the temple is possible, I highly recommend to walk on the beautiful trail...

불교사찰. 대한불교 조계종 제11교구 본사 불국사의 말사. 651년(신라 진덕여왕 5년) 의상(義湘)이 창건하였다. 대웅보전을 비롯하여 관음전, 응진전, 응향각, 황화실, 설선당, 법영루, 칠성각, 산신각 등. 또한 인현왕후와 관련이 있는 것으로 알려진 의상전이라는 건물이 있다. 대웅보전 기단 아래에 묻혀있는 2기의 돌거북이 꽤 특이하다. 기단 바깥으로 돌거북의 머리만 나와있는데 불영사가 워낙 화재를 많이 겪었기 때문에 물을 상징하는 돌거북을 묻어 대웅보전 및 불영사를 지키려는 바람이 담겨있었을 것이다. 주차장에서 불영사까지 걸어서 약 30분 소요.
