Bomunsanseong Fortress — Local services in Daejeon

Im sure it would have been quite a view there, if ive seen it myself. I was led by googlemap to trek up via different route and man, was it difficult! Literally through the woods, up boulders and a broken bridge. Listening to 2 sermons in (thats almost 4hours) and still nothing.

I highly suggest using naver map for this one. My other friends did and their walk up, was a breeze. ON a boardwalk itself, leading up the fortress.

I still gave it 4 stars because, if ure a person who revel in the challenge.. go for it. Wear good mountaineering shoes, bring water and all. The climb up is steep (some portions) and definitely not easy (for my route). But! I definitely went through a very different experience, doing this alone - 1st time climbing up while snowing. A very mesmerising and memorable experience.

Dangerous, reflecting on hindsight - the snow could have made the paths slippery and covered past treks. So if ure doing this, please do it with a buddy.

Great for hiking or biking (mtb) although a pretty tough climb up is rewarded with a great view of downtown Daejeon. On a personal note. I wish 'they' would desist with totally unnecessary staircase building on the trails. Ugly and not required plus the locals tend to avoid them...
