Sikjangsan — Local services in Daejeon

I spent late spring and much of the summer of 1968 on this mountain. I recall the impressive scenery as well as some nights when it was almost impossible to stand up to the strong winds that we had to contend as we checked the communication transmission equipment.

The road up was very hazardous with switch backs that often required a passenger to get out and spot because the driver could not see the narrow road over the hood of the 4 wheel drive truck.

Would love to visit the mountain now and see the changes.

Sadly, the day I went was a hazy BUT it was still a great experience and view! The road up the mountain is a bit dangerous. It’s extremely narrow and you must often stop for another car to squeeze by. There are are many sharp corners. All in all, it’s still amazing! It’s a great couple spot as well. 입구에서 차로 약 4km, 도로 폭이 넘 좁아, 반드시 서행을 해야 하며, 초보 운전자분은 위험할수도 있을듯.
