This temple is fairly close one of the entrances to the Mudeungsan National Park. It's a fairly flat walk along paved roads with pretty good shade from the sun, maybe a little more than a kilometer from the bus stop.
Although I didn't find the temple itself or the views here as impressive as Wonhyosa on the other side of the national park, it was nice and secluded, had plenty of shaded areas, and was more quiet and relaxing (with fewer people).
In the summer (especially late August) this place is absolutely overrun with biting insects, which kind of ruins the vibe. Bring bug spray...
