Maps states it as a 'Cheese shop', but it's a farm with production, which has a shop. That's why you can see bad reviews about a closed shop. It's a goat farm, and a great one. In my opinion, the best way to visit it is to book a tour. There you can see all different stages of cheese production, pet goats, and buy award winning cheese in the shop (2-3 times cheaper than in dutyfree). We had a multilingual group, but our host managed to quickly give info in eng, spanish and italian 🙌 If you are like me don't like cheese, which is 'too goat-y' , don't worry, the products don't have that obtrusive taste. Also recommend to try delicious butter. This place still feels very authentic and genuine, unlike many other on Tenerife. It feels that they don't try to be mainly a touristic attraction, but more focused on the farm part. There is going to be a bigger shop closer to a main road + small BnB. I hope that will help them to get more people and brand recognition.

Visiting Quesería Montesdeoca was such a wonderful and authentic experience! Our guide, was not only very knowledgeable but also incredibly kind and engaging. She explained everything in detail and with great passion, which made the tour really special. We had the chance to see the goats, learn about their care, and watch the process of artisanal cheese-making. The highlight, of course, was the tasting session! A variety of cheeses, from fresh to well-aged, all absolutely delicious! They feed the goats&sheeps only with local products, use no antibiotics or hormones, and keep everything as natural and sustainable as possible. At the end, there’s also a charming little shop where you can buy their cheeses and other products to take home. Highly recommended for anyone who want to visit a super authentic family-company in Tenerife!

If you want to experience the real Tenerife and learn about the island’s gastronomy, this family-run cheese factory is worth a visit. Operating since 1984, they have been continuously improving their craft and producing award-winning goat cheese recognized both locally and internationally. The one-hour guided tour takes you through the production process, sharing insights into daily life on the farm and how the cheese is made from goat to plate. After the informative and impressive tour, we enjoyed tasting a variety of goat cheeses of different ages – all were delicious. We were lucky to see two newborn goats in September, but in October you will see hundreds of little ones. This experience was worth every cent.

We had a wonderful time looking around the factory and goat/sheep pens. Our guide Adrianna was wonderful. She was incredibly passionate about the product but also friendly and engaging. I could have spoken to her for hours, she's a genuinely lovely person and amazing to be able to speak so many different languages. It's a lovely family run farm with an incredible product. They do so many variations that there's something for everyone. The cheese tasting was really enjoyable and showed just how much a product can change in taste and texture. We particularly liked the two year old cheese, but they were all beautiful. Thank you for such an incredible experience and we'll be sure to let our rep know about...
