Overpriced, Rude Staff, and numerous additional charges
We booked golf for 4 players at this resort, paying €95 just one day in advance. The booking clearly stated it included four players and one buggy, yet when we arrived, the staff insisted we pay for an additional buggy, despite nothing in the booking indicating this was necessary.
Things went downhill quickly from there. Two of our group were forced to purchase polo shirts at €50 each—one was wearing a cotton t-shirt and the other a linen shirt, both entirely appropriate for golf. As if that wasn’t enough, they also tried to pressure us into buying their footwear, even though ours was perfectly acceptable and in line with typical course standards.
To top it off, the woman we dealt with at reception was rude and dismissive, showing no willingness to listen or resolve the situation reasonably. They refused any refund, despite the fact we had only paid the day before and the course was clearly empty.
By the time you factor in all their unexpected charges, you’re looking at a cost of €200–€300 per person, which is outrageous for what was supposed to be a casual round of golf. It left a sour taste in our mouths and completely ruined the experience.

I did a booking by phone the 29th of september. Booking via leading courses was 4x €97 so I asked how much it would be if booking directly by them. The lady at the phone told me 4x €100 excl. Buggy. That was fine. I gave her my details (never got a confirmation).
They ended up charging him 4x €130, and were unwilling to refund. They said They couldn't find the booking, so it was not entered properly by the staff and they were not willing to refund.
Mid-game when I found out I missed out on 25 min of play. And both tee time management nor the pro-shop seemed to care to fix it.

Read moreLa Quinta is a great hotel, the on-site amenities were perfect, the grounds where amazing. The golf course was overall in good condition, there were a few parts/greens that weren't great but that's fine and it played well (although very hard course).
The staff were all very friendly and helpful (hotel staff and golf course staff) my only issues were the room. I expected a lot better from a 5 star resort. The room was in dire need of a refurb, the coffee machine in the room was great but that was about it. Severe lack of English TV channels, the iPhone Dock was broken, the bathroom door would not shut properly or even lock, the bathroom overall wasn't in the greatest condition. The beds and bedding were nice though.
