El Verd és com les butaques d'un gran teatre on s'hi representa el Pedraforca.

No es la muntanya més emblemàtica de Catalunya, però si un cim a considerar.

També té una gran importància perquè el dóna vida a Tota la zona ja que es un gran dipòsit d'aigua natural. A dalt de tot, a gairebé 2000 metres d'altura hi trobaràs baqués i cavalls de pastura, per tranquils per la pau de la zona, i sense gaires depredadors que s'atreveixin amb aquesta alçada, viuen i crien tranquils.

Una muntanya molt recomanable de visitar, fora del reclam ja massificat...

El paisatge fantàstic. La pujada des de Gòsol mòlt variada, senders dins d'un bosc de pi negre, camí amb tartera fàcil, i quan arribés prop del cim prats verds. Vaques i cavalls arreu on mires. Molt...
