Giving 5 star for the views alone. There a few different walk paths up this mountain.. I’d recommend walking sticks or at least 1 for some support. The ground lower down isn’t so steep, and mostly solid with a few small stones and dusty. The further you go up, the gradient increases, and there is more loose soil. It’s possible to navigate around most of the loose bits, till you get to the last 300ft I’d say. The last bit is a little tricky, choosing footing is wise. I didn’t go the lower side with where the cross is, only the highest bit with the aerial masts are.

Best time to go is early in the morning before the sun is high, and keep an eye on the wind speeds.. Lanzarote is well known for its strong warm winds. Also I warned about random dogs wandering around, again the walking sticks come in handy to act as deterrent to warn of curious dogs… although saying that, I didn’t experience any on this particular walk 😊 Take your time and enjoy.. p.s you can walk up with in...

A beautiful mountain to hike. Space to park at the bottom. The first section is fitted for a truck. Once you get a little higher it is only a walking path. Be sure to wear good shoes as it is very Rocky. You get to the caldera section, it is a old volcano after all, and you cross that to hike the upper section. Which is quite narrow switchbacks. I didn't make it all the way to the top as it was quite windy and I was doing a solo hike and I didn't let anyone know I was doing it so I decided to play it safe. Interesting how there is vegetation on the upper section because of moisture from the clouds and nothing on the lower section. Very...

Nice easy parking on the side of the road at the east side. From here there is a track (past some not very appealing but chained up barking dogs) thus i took a direct route up the east ridge to the summit. Very steep but ok for a competent/adventurous person. Would recommend the track for ages 10+ unless they are experienced little hikers. Took about 1hr 20mins up and down! Wind at the top was very strong making it precarious as quite strong but just check the weather before setting off (forecast 30mph but about 50-80 gusts...
