I strongly advise AGAINST considering this university. Their primary concern appears to be money rather than the quality of education they provide and customer service. Allow me to share my personal experience, which illustrates how I, as an international student, felt misled and taken advantage of after moving from one continent to another in vain!!
Firstly, there were warning signs from the beginning. Upon expressing interest in this university, they rushed me into making a decision, claiming there was only one spot left and numerous other applicants vying for it. This pressure tactic, coupled with promises of urgency, led me to hastily accept their offer. However, once the commission was secured, the support vanished.
Secondly, for programs in STEAM fields, the admission process consisted merely of a brief essay and an English proficiency test. Shockingly, there was no assessment of mathematical or scientific aptitude. Subsequently, during classes, much of the material was assumed to be familiar, as if it had been covered in high school. This assumption did not hold true for many international students, including myself. Furthermore, the teaching quality was subpar, leaving students to fend for themselves.
Thirdly, upon realizing the inadequacy of the education provided, students were left with no choice but to seek additional tutoring or external courses to bridge the knowledge gap. The first assignments presented were entirely unfamiliar, and classmates struggled to comprehend them. Personally, I resorted to online resources like ChatGPT and YouTube tutorials just to grasp the basics.
At the end of the semester, the university shared the alarming statistic that only a small fraction of students had passed essential courses like Calculus and Physics, fundamental subjects for STEAM disciplines. This dismal success rate, hovering around 20%, raises serious questions about the university's commitment to academic excellence. Instead of fostering a supportive learning environment, they seemed content to let students struggle and fail.
Ultimately, I made the difficult decision to withdraw from this university and return home. Unfortunately, I had already invested significant time and money into the first semester, leaving me demoralized and depressed. Instead of offering meaningful support, the university administration's response was dismissive, suggesting I seek tutoring elsewhere. Even the physics instructor said "I am not going to say it is impossible but you will have to repeat this class several times".
In conclusion, the blame for my disappointing experience lies squarely with the university and its faculty. Their negligence and lack of support have had profound consequences for countless motivated students, myself included. It is essential to warn others considering this institution to proceed with caution, as their educational integrity leaves much to be desired.
Who do you think is at fault: Hundreds of motivated first entry students from around the world or the teachers and university? You tell me... Imagine the masacre when classes start...
Read moreA Deeply Disappointing Experience – Lack of Compassion and Institutional Accountability. As an architecture student, I never expected that the most difficult part of my education would come not from the workload, but from the people meant to support us.
Last summer, I became seriously ill and had to undergo surgery. This happened during exam season, and according to European law, students who are medically incapacitated — and can prove it — have the right to reschedule their exams. I followed this process properly: I returned to Norway to receive appropriate medical care (after being told by the Spanish healthcare system to "wait it out"), informed my school, and provided all necessary documentation.
What I didn’t expect was to be treated with suspicion and disrespect by one of my professors, Silvia Herrero Alonso, who responded not with concern but with open doubt — implying that I was being dishonest about my condition. The complete lack of compassion shown by her was shocking and unworthy of someone in an academic role.
When I contacted the program coordinator, I was initially told to “focus on getting well” — a moment of relief that turned into disillusionment when I was suddenly contacted again, while still awaiting surgery, and told to return to Spain within a week to take my exams. Despite clearly explaining my medical situation and later providing official surgical documentation, I never received a single reply.
Now, I am being forced to retake classes — not because of poor academic performance, but because those responsible ignored both legal obligations and basic human decency.
All of this while we, as students, pay an enormous amount of money to study here. The tuition we pay should guarantee not just quality education, but also basic support, transparency, and fairness — none of which were given to me when I needed them most.
This is not just an administrative failure. It is an institutional one — a failure in humanity, professionalism, and respect for students who are already doing their best under difficult circumstances.
If you’re considering studying here, ask yourself: what happens if you get sick? If you go through something personal? Will you be treated with dignity? Or will you, like me, be ignored and punished for circumstances beyond your control?
This experience has shown me that this institution values procedure over people, and payment...
Read moreLike the guy above, yes, RUN! This school’s administration is absolute mayhem! The way they run their system is so disorganized, EXTREMELY indirect (you have to talk to someone, to talk to someone, to get your answers) and in my experience, it all ended up being wrong information. Such a lazy administration that doesn’t care about you or your problems! Beyond unreliable, unhelpful and working with people inside the school has been a waste of my time, money and energy!!! To them your another case but this is your life, your studies!!!! They should AT LEAST have more care in the world for the tuition dollars you bring! Save yourself the incoming aggravation and just apply somewhere else, you will regret it!
I was a transfer student here and I essentially have to drop out completely and attend a university somewhere else because all they did was feed me lies and disbeliefs saying they could take care of my transfer student case “if I do this, no if I do that, oh wait, we can’t proceed until you have this together!” I wasted a whole year trying to continue my studies here all so that they could string me along and give me hope that I could start as a transfer student. I’m still in disbelief fighting so hard for my case, for so long, since the first day of classes in September, just for them to not care. You are just another case to them but this is your life!!!!
Coming in as a fresh student from high school, you will have a better experience than me but if any problems arise between the start and the end of your 4 years, which most likely something is bound to happen, you will have to face this disorganized administration that won’t care about you or your problems. It’s not worth the aggravation and I wish I would’ve read these reviews sooner cause it could’ve saved me time and money. There’s your warning....
