Visited the place during the summer in 2022 and my inpression after 10 years was shocking.
The frontdesk could at least at forehand be professional in providing information about the state of the resort. I paid and continued my way with the kids to discover that the swing facilities where empty. It seems that the slice which provides water to the resort was broken.
Hope that the resort will recover from the aftermath of the corona to at least its glory state as...
Read moreEr was ons beloofd dat het restaurant open zou zijn want dat hadden wij gehoord via het WhatsApp nummer maar helaas was dat niet het geval. Toen wij ter plekke aandrong werd er wel een oplossing gezocht door bij de luchthaven wat eten voor ons te kopen. Colakreek is nog steeds hetzelfde als 20 jaar geleden, maar hoe dan ook het blijft erg leuk de bodem in het water is van zandgrond en is prettig om in te verblijven. Deze keer mochten wij zelfs met onze auto naar binnen. Het was de eerste dag dat de scholen weer begonnen dus er was bijna geen enkele bezoeker daar aanwezig. Fantastisch dat nu de hele weg ernaartoe geasfalteerd is. Ook zijn er cabins die je kan huren voor overnachting.
We were promised that the restaurant would be open because we had heard that via the WhatsApp number, but unfortunately that was not the case. When we insisted on the spot, a solution was found by buying us some food at the airport. Colakreek is still the same as 20 years ago, but in any case it remains very nice, the bottom in the water is sandy and is pleasant to stay in. This time we were even allowed to enter with our car. There is a cafeteria, but it may be best to bring your own food and drinks. The location is very well maintained. Swimming is at your own risk, no lifeguard on duty.
