We had an amazing stay in the SAC hut: a private double-room with an amazing view, a comfortable king-size bed, douvetes, towels and bottles of water provided every day super kind staff real Italian espresso coffee machine great meals showers (although 15+30 seconds of water is super short, e.g. SAC Monte Rosa provides 3 minutes of showering for the same price) free mobile phone charging during solar power times as a courtesy a free Wallis apero plate with white wine on the Swiss National Day (1st August) reading lounge with a great music, perfect on bad-weather days

Read moreYes, unfortunately this is the place you must visit, and this is this place fate. Do not expect anything except the great hut in a great location. We felt like a necessary evil (but a milk cow too) there. The mobile phone (or even smartwatch!) charging fee along with the limited possibilities to plug in completes this poor look. I visited dosens of alpine huts and I have never faced a policy like that ... Maybe visiting one or two neighboring huts as a guest...

The team that worked the hut was accommodating of our early departure time and made sure breakfast was there for us.
