Beautiful mountain with incredible view to Eiger, Jungfrau, Mönch Nowadays there are quite a lot of craverses which make crossing harder. An REGA insurance is quite helpful here. The last part is a bit steeper then the rest of the mountain.

Aufstieg ab Tierberglihütte in ca. 3.5h in gemütlichem Tempo, Abstieg ca. 2h. Start frühmorgens um 04:30, um dann den wunderschönen Sonnenaufgang erleben zu dürfen. Der Aufstieg braucht eine gute Grundlagenausdauer aber ist technisch einfach. Einige kleinere Gletscherspalten müssen unterwegs jeweils übersprungen werden. Die Aussicht von oben ist grandios! Ich habe die Tour anfangs Juli 2025 mit einer kleinen Gruppe und einem Bergführer gemacht. Gerne wieder :)

Ich habe 2022 eine geführte Höhentour mit Mammut über das Sustenhorn und das Unter Tierhorn unternommen. Die Aussicht ist bei gutem Wetter ein Traum. Allerdings ist eine grundlegende Kondition erforderlich. Für Anfänger keineswegs empfehlenswert. Traurig ist, dass die Gletscher immer weiter zurückweichen und sich mehr und mehr Risse bilden.

What an incredibly beautiful spot to pull over just after the big car park. We went through the pass on a perfect summers July day. I still can’t believe I managed to capture such a keeper of a pic! We could sit there forever taking...
