Quite surreal driving through an airfield to get to a waterfall. The 10 min walk (at most) from the car park to the waterfall was relaxing and even had a shallow river nearby. The waterfall felt powerful stood at the bottom, worth popping out for a bit if you’re en route.

Der Oltschibachfall gehört zu den schönsten Wasserfällen im Berner Oberland. Am Dorfeingang von Meiringen, hinter dem Militärflugplatz gelegen. Der Wasserfall kann vom Parkplatz sehr schön beobachtet und fotografiert werden. Ein einfacher Kiesweg führt dahin. The Oltschibachfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Bernese Oberland. Located at the entrance to the village of Meiringen, behind the military airfield. The waterfall can be observed and photographed very nicely from the parking lot. A gravel path leads there more easily.

Visit on a Sunday - the airbase is closed and you’ll be able to walk the runway. The waterfall is stunning and the flower meadows surrounding it really are beautiful.
