One my favorite mountain passes in Switzerland! 😍

It is definitely a great pass to enjoy riding your motorcycle. It doesn't have to be a fast one, it can be a cruiser.

I also noticed that other people (non bikers) enjoy the route too! Wether by coming with their sporty cars or even normal ones, also with mini vans equipped with outdoorsy chairs and food/ drinks so that they enjoy the beautiful sceneries on the side of the roads (non official parking spots can be available).

Some people also manage to go up there by bicycle 😬 (good for them! I can't do that).

Furka Pass with an elevation of 2,429 metres (7,969 ft), is a high mountain pass in the Swiss Alps connecting Gletsch, Valais with Realp, Uri. The Furka Oberalp Bahn line through the Furka Tunnel bypasses the pass. The base tunnel opened in 1982 and replaced a tunnel at 2100 m. The Furka Pass was used as a location in the James Bond film Goldfinger. One curve on the east side of the pass is even named "James Bond Strasse". At the sign, there is a lookout point with a small parking area. Visitors can also park next to Hotel Belvédère, close to the top of the pass on the west side, and take the short walk to the Rhone Glacier Ice Grotto. A fantastic drive to the Furka Pass awaits you. Really winding roads leading up to the Rhone Glacier and the iconic Hotel Belvedere. Technically, and some one can correct me if I am wrong, the Furka pass starts from the glacier while crossing over to the Uri-Valais border leading up to the village of Zumdorf. The road is really winding and it can get really cold at the top so please prepare by having winter tires and winter clothing, particularly at night and starting end of autumn season. Also, it’s very sad to see the Rhone Glacier receding so dramatically. This is heartbreaking and hopefully people will understand the impact of global warming before it’s too late.
