Amazing place to ride. Came here in late July with the Titanium Road Bike that I designed, built and assembled to test it's performance. I'm not consider myself a pro, but the bicycle performance was great. More important I survived the descend reaching max speed of 40mph. It was a great experience. There was some snow on the ground but temp was a very nice to ride. Some traffic but never felt that was an issue. Hope to go back next year to do the entire route. The bike on the picture is the prototype "Pilot" base model for the next generation of roadbikes. Update model will hopefully be available for purchase. Check the my Adventure bike and more on my website Murati Titanium Bicycles or on Instagram muratibicycles. Enjoy the planet...

The Grimsel Pass, one of the most popular and famous of the Swiss passes, an absolute must for any Petrol head!

Absolutely stunning scenery, so much so I've been 3 time's, infact it's the one only pass I would go back to again and again, and the fact you can get there by three different ways all of which are awesome makes for something different each time.

Like most passes the Grimsel has two sides, the tighter side on the way up although better than the Stelvio, and then the flowing side, which is beautiful to drive or ride.

You can eat at the top but it is NOT cheap! I paid €50 for two beers and two bratwurst and fries, that would normally be €20 to €25...

This is my favorite mountain pass in the western part of Switzerland, in particular because of its rugged aspect and colors that stand out even in bad weather like this late Sunday afternoon just before the pass would be closed for the winter. This is where we come for high altitude hiking during the summers, when we want to get away from the heat where we live outside Lausanne. The Hospiz hotel had already closed like most of the restaurants in the pass. I managed to get a delicious home made Apfelstrudel with a Cappucino in the only one that was open, the Alpenlodge, being surrounded by the old relics of the upper...
