Augstmatthorn — Local services in Oberried am Brienzersee

Very challenging hike, even so the views on the way are spectacular. We started the hike at 9:30 from harder kulm panaroma view point and arrived at almost augsmathorn at 13:00, specifically our last point was the hillside around Hardergrat. We couldn’t climb up the summit but enjoyed the 360 degree view there with our binoculars. On the way back, we hiked down all the way until interlaken ost, it was 18:15 when we arrived interlaken center. We would take the cablecar down but there was a long queue at harder kulm station and it works per 30mins. Pros: very well marked route, beautiful flowers on the way, amazing views all the time. People who claim this hike is "overrated" are the same ones who complain the Coliseum looks like a "bunch of ruins" :) With the proper weather (and we definitely lucked out with a calm sunny day) this place looks like a postcard. It's not too difficult, yes it's a continuous ascent from Harder Kulm but the hike doesn't require any technical skill and isn't really challenging -- just an expected cardio. HIGHLY recommend the hike from Harder Kulm to Augstmatthorn and back down to Habkern. It was hard but rewarding and the views along the way were stunning. One of the top activities during my time in Switzerland. Great alternative to the full Hardergrat trail, which can be quite dangerous. Felt safe the whole time along this route. Would definitely recommend waiting for a dry clear day before attempting though, as it would get very muddy otherwise and it would be so cloudy you wouldn't get to enjoy the...
