We stumbled upon Bernina Pass by mistake, but there are no regrets whatsoever. This unexpected detour turned out to be a thrilling adventure, especially for motorcycle enthusiasts. The roads are absolutely perfect for a ride, offering a mix of challenging curves and smooth stretches that provide tons of adrenaline. Each turn reveals stunning views that are nothing short of breathtaking, with the majestic Swiss Alps serving as the perfect backdrop.

Bernina Pass, standing at an elevation of 2,328 meters (7,638 feet), is one of the highest paved roads in the Alps. It’s not just the altitude that makes it remarkable, but also its rich history and significance. The pass is part of the famous Bernina Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its scenic train routes that traverse through spectacular landscapes and engineering marvels.

As we rode through the pass, the combination of thrilling roads and magnificent vistas made for an unforgettable experience. The sight of the glistening glaciers, serene lakes, and verdant valleys below was simply awe-inspiring. Additionally, the pass connects the Swiss town of St. Moritz with the Italian town of Tirano, making it a vital route with a blend of cultural influences.

In summary, Bernina Pass is a gem for any motorcyclist looking for an exhilarating ride amidst some of the most stunning scenery imaginable. Our accidental discovery of this pass was a highlight of our trip, and it’s a route that should be on every rider’s bucket list. The mix of adrenaline, history, and natural beauty makes it a must-visit...

Memorable journey from Tirano, IT to St. Moritz. While in Italy, ride offers mostly lush green landscape and passing through the residential building. Switzerland in wintertime is like a white blanket. Train passes through 100s of small and large bridges and tunnels, frozen lake and spectacular view of glacier. St. Moritz offers stunning view of frozen lake and 10a of very expensive brand shopping area. Over all I would repeat it in summer time to witness different beauty...
