Enkele jaren terug liep je vanuit de kabelbaan zo de sneeuw in, de gletsjer op. Na de dramatische zomer van 2022 (veel te heet, veel weggesmolten) is de Felskinn veranderd in een zwarte, gevaarlijke morene waar veel steenlawines voor komen. De tocht naar de Britanniahütte is niet meer mogelijk via Felskinn, hiervoor moet je via Morenia (Maste 4). Als je hier vaker bent geweest zal je schrikken van de huidige situatie.

Za městečkem Saas-Fee jsme nastoupili do kabinkové lanovky, která nás dovezla do mezistanice FELSKIN (výška 3 000 m.n.m.). Pokračovali jsme pak vzhůru 1 400 m dlouhou skalní štolou - NEJVÝŠE položeným alpským metrem (vytesaným v roce 1984). Metro nás po cca 7 minutách vyplivlo (ve výšce 3 500 m.n.m.) „na konečné“ - pod vyhlídkou a otáčivou restaurací stanice Mittelallalin.
