lift is closing 16:30 in summer, almost missed it... long way down:) thx for hutte personal for advice. nice prices for desserts btw, dont use lift if you have not correct ticket, 500CHF fine (for example, you pay ticket to middle station Kreuzboden, and you will take "free" lift to Hohsaas, you will pay fine and ticket. There is no turniquet in middle station. Same when you hike from Saas-Grund and take "free" lift down). Hope this fine thing is temporary and they will not allow you to take a lift without ticket

Magnifique panorama avec ces sommets de 4 000 m. Des "poteaux indicateurs" sont sur le circuit d'une heure environ. Par-contre, ils sont en "langue allemand". Au besoin, en sortant du télécabine, demander une brochure dans votre langue. A FAIRE ABSOLUMENT. Par-contre, pour les "bons marcheurs", compléter la journée avec le lac Kreuzboden ou la Cabane Weissmies. Si vous y aller le matin, penser à regarder les alpinistes sur le "Triftglescher". Ich persönlich war im sommer dort oben, wie toll muss es im herbst sein, wenn die farben sich ändern o.im frühling wenn die natur erwacht. Am kreuzboden der kneippgarten ist toll, das bergrestaurant auf hohsaas läd zum verweilen u.geniessen ein.

Mit der seilbahn nach oben u.vom kreuzboden aus nach unten laufen.wunderschön, tolle aussicht auf 18 viertausender.der wanderrundweg ist schwierig, aber sehr informativ gestaltet mit den lehrtafeln. Ich persönlich war im sommer dort oben, wie toll muss es im herbst sein, wenn die farben sich ändern o.im frühling wenn die natur erwacht. Am kreuzboden der kneippgarten ist toll, das bergrestaurant auf hohsaas läd zum verweilen u.geniessen ein.

Stayed here 15 July 2014 . Although the hut is very convenient for 8 man cable car and very modern the food was Terrible. All the ingredients were processed and full of additives. Soup and pudding powder from packets. Over salted sausage with nearly black glutinous sauce and instant mashed potato. Then a carafe of water to deal with salt cost CHF8. If you need to stay for a specific climb then TAKE a PICNIC. Had a good climb and great views !

The hidden gem of the Swiss Alps ! Hochsaashutte is unique.
