Had a most beautiful ride in the Schwebebahn Gondola to the top of the mountain where one can see the alps as far as the eye can see in good weather. The are many hiking paths of various degrees of difficulties, across the meadows, up and down the slopes, and along the rocky ridges. The Kronberg peak is a well known place for paragliders to take off from, and if you are lucky, you can watch them taking off from one of the slopes. The ropeway station is conveniently located right next to the train station, making it an easy and accessible destination. While the panoramic view is certainly pleasant, I don’t think it’s a must-see attraction. I think most people go up to start hiking down from there or for paragliding.
