Great miniature train close to Katzensee. Great value for the money (Kids pay only CHF 2 and Adults CHF 6 and you get 3 round trips). My 4 year old loved it and did not want to stop riding although you might get used to the round trip. There is a little train station, little houses, lots of rails and signals, so it feels like a real train experience.
There is a little playground next to the train (but nothing special). The attached restaurant is basic but offers drinks and food/snacks. Read moreSmall park, but nice to visit occasionally. There's only two routes and they share most of the tracks, so not much in the way of diversity. However the locomotives are nice, real coal-powered little steam trains and the kids like them. Also the miniature buildings are cute.
The adjacent restaurant has a playground of sorts with a few token-operated attractions. This can be a nice bonus or a curse depending on your children's behavior and your willingness to keep supplying...
