Orchid Reservoir, Lantan Reservoir, or Orchid Reservoir Lake,, located at the Chiayi City, is open free to all visitors and has free parking spaces and bathroom access for the visitors.

Orchid Reservoir has almost 95% full of water reservoir limitation in early August 2021, and has splendid view for the reservoirs or lake, and it is pleasant to drive or to walk along the Lake drive. However, drivers and visitors should avoid visiting the Orchid Reservoir in hurricane or stormy weather for risk of falling broken trees along the lake drive and inside...

兰潭水壩的晨光 自立在台北的生活像拧紧的发条，照顧老爸忙碌又開心。那个周末，他心血来潮 跟寶貝老婆請了個假 丟下剛從下飛機舊金山回來的老友 mark /joy /Arthur 陪著小學同學謝建德，坐上美女里長盧宣蓉辦的桂林里巡守隊遊覽車前往嘉，只为在兰潭水坝寻得片刻宁静。 清晨，薄雾还未散去，自立站在了兰潭水坝前。湿润清新的空气瞬间钻进他的鼻腔，洗去了台北繁華的沉闷。眼前，湖水被雾气温柔包裹，只能隐约瞧见近处的涟漪。对岸的山峦在雾气中若隐若现，像是一幅淡墨的山水画。 自立沿着堤壩缓缓走着，鞋底与地面摩擦，发出细微的声响。耳边偶尔传来几声清脆的鸟鸣，更衬出这片天地的静谧。突然，不远处传来一阵悠扬的笛声，音符在雾气中穿梭，为这朦胧的景致添了几分灵动。 循声而去，自立看到一个老人坐在石凳上，专注地吹奏着笛子。老人的身旁，放着一个小小的收音机，正播放着轻柔的古典乐。自立被这一幕深深吸引，不由自主地在一旁坐下。一曲终了，老人看向自立，露出和蔼的笑容，问道：“過路人，从哪儿来啊？”自立回答：“从台北，来这儿透透气。”老人笑着点头：“这兰潭的早晨，可是有治愈人心的力量。” 两人相谈甚欢，自立得知老人是本地的退休教师，每天都会来这水壩边，伴着晨光与湖水吹奏笛子。正说着，太阳渐渐升高，雾气开始消散。阳光洒在湖面上，波光粼粼，美得让人移不开眼。 自立起身向老人告别，心中满是感慨。这个与兰潭水坝的初遇，像是命运安排的一场奇妙旅程。在这里，他感受到了自然的力量，也寻回了内心深处那份久违的平静。他知道，这美好的一天只是开始，未来的日子，即便回到台北的忙碌中，兰潭水坝的晨光也会照亮他前行的路 。
