The staff are really friendly to the point where you can feel their care and love for you.
Fortunate to have a lovely English speaking tour guide by the name of Gloria--she is a real gem and explained many of the interesting aspects of the building, the grounds, and Maitreya well. I do find it interesting the organization behind this focuses solely on the Budai laughing monk incarnation of the bodhisattva Maitreya when there is much more to Maitreya.
Mind you, it was after the visit that I realized that the place is run by an organized religion that is pulls from Taoism, Buddhism, and Chinese folklore, but the fine folks never mentioned or alluded to organized religion.

The grounds are kept up very nicely and the staff are all very friendly. They were kind enough to find someone who could give us a tour in English.
