This is a gem hidden in the heart of Kenting at Manzhou township. Answer across a flowing river lies a campground which is unique in its own way that gives an unforgettable experience. The dramatic entrance to a lush green ground which has around 10 huts and a house which is up for renting or you can just bring your own tent and pitch it. With ample space and green Trees to welcome you in the morning. The campground is equipped with a 24/7 bar, some music is always playing in the speaker, live performances on a frequent basis and some amazing breakfast and dinner options cooked in their kitchen. They have live performances from time to time and specially during the winters calling bands from All over Taiwan and play a wide array of music. The owners Eric and Simon are extremely friendly patrons who always make a stay at the campground more than comfortable. Strike up a conversation with them and other regular campers and you will get to know so much about the island and how it was in the Olden days. Or just bring your friends and bbq the night away beneath the stars, the choices are plenty. The campground is equipped with showers and toilet facilities which are more clean than what the regular campground offers. It’s a place to chill your heart out, unwind, relax and recharge away from the city. The beach lies a 25 minute walk from here where you can swim and play around. Nestled in a peaceful valley near the village of Gongguan, Shady Tree is a lovely refuge from the tourist chaos of Kenting.

I stayed for over a week, camping out and enjoying the peace and quiet. A huge grassy lawn, waterproof huts, and wooden platforms give you options for where to sleep.

The folks in charge run a small restaurant and bar. There is also a homegrown community of campers who return year after year, evidence of the awesome staff and laid back vibe.

Very well.situated and relax campground with view on the river. the campground has wooden block houses and a camping area ! The camping offers good facilities among others an open area for cooking and as big asset a bar where you can enjoy a drink, have a snack or a meal. The owners are very welcoming and they know how to party ! There were bands playing the two nights we were there: what an enjoyment! Very family and petfriendly.
