Zhongxue Shan — Local services in Tai'an

It is a heck of a long walk to get there! You have a relatively flat 20km hike to get to the bottom of the peak and then 2 hours straight up to the summit. We did 2 days and 1 night and boy I’ll tell ya, that second day is a killer. We camped about 18km from the trail head and then on the second day 1 am take off from camp to get to the summit around 5:30am just after sunrise. Then, hiked back to the camp for lunch and directly out and made it back to the trail head by like 5:30pm. Ultra-marathon distance. True test of endurance. Absolutely loved it. Can’t wait to go back. 中雪山，標高3173公尺，為台灣百岳之一，屬於雪山山脈西稜。 登山口位於230林道（西勢山林道）26k，由此經1.7公里陡上700公尺抵達山頂，一般腳程來回約45小時，沿途有滿滿的箭竹林，奇峻的岩石與樹木，多處需要攀爬，林木遮蔽展望不佳，但風景還是很棒的。 建議要帶手套、登山杖、頭盔，下雨易滑要特別注意。 為防止迷途意外，雪霸國家公園管理處沿途設置了反光標示，易走錯或救難開闢的路也都用三角旗圍起，請仔細看路跡，不要脫離步道。 山頂狹窄無展望，設有三角點，手舉牌，有一面疑為防火愛林的鐵網，原字跡皆看不清了，有人在上面裝了L形狀的鐵板，可用來自拍。 過三角點處有路跡，通往林文安紀念碑，一路上上下下，來回約1小時。 單攻中雪山通常安排23日行程，林道上有多處水源及營地依個人規劃來安排。 230林道2023/12/31狀況： 入口到9k崩壁高繞前：為公務車可行路段，狀況良好。 9k崩壁到16.5k營地：有各式各樣的障礙地形，落石、倒木、溪谷、亂石、崩塌、攀爬，9k崩壁請務必高繞。 16.5k到...
