It is really devine when you are with Nature. Whole of Africa is mesmerisingly beautiful. Each country is unique with its mineral wealth, Natural beautiful landscape, flora and fauna. Volcanic eruption and collapse 3 million years ago gave a shape to this beautiful place. Slowly vegetation brought green colour to the whole depression. Animals and plants flourished here. 2000 years back human habitation around the area brought signs of civilization. In Maasai Ngorongoro means the Black Hole. The Ngorongoro Crater is often called the “Eden of Africa”. It was declared an UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978 and is home for the highest density of large game in Africa. My recent safari to the Ngorongoro Crater was nothing short of spectacular, an experience that left me utterly awestruck and forever grateful for the wonders of the natural world. Nestled in the heart of Tanzania's breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area, this geological marvel is a testament to the Earth's astounding beauty and the perfect embodiment of the term "wildlife paradise."

From the moment our safari vehicle descended into the crater's depths, I was entranced by the sheer diversity of wildlife that calls this unique ecosystem home. Majestic elephants roamed freely, graceful giraffes nibbled on acacia leaves, and the sight of a pride of lions basking in the golden African sun was a moment I'll cherish forever.

But it wasn't just the astonishing array of fauna that left me speechless; it was also the Crater's dramatic landscape. The ancient caldera is a surreal blend of lush grasslands, shimmering soda lakes, and dense forests, all cradled within the protective embrace of towering crater walls. Every turn in our safari brought a new vista more breathtaking than the last.

Our knowledgeable guide regaled us with fascinating facts about the ecosystem's delicate balance, enriching our journey with valuable insights into the circle of life in this unique habitat. Our visit was a mesmerizing symphony of sights and sounds, punctuated by the unforgettable thrill of spotting elusive black rhinos, cheetahs in pursuit, and countless exotic bird species.

The guide made the difference! Our personal experience with Mgalaa Expeditions started the night before the safari, when Nema made a special trip to our hotel to deliver my girlfriend luggage that was lost at the airport for two days. THANK YOU!!!

This was our first safari so I can't compare the company or the guide to others, but what I can say is that our guide, Moses made the trip a memorable one. He has been working as a safari guide for almost 6 years with a background in ecology. He knows the animals, their habits, the roads, the parks, the weather, the plants, the campsites...it was obvious that he loves his job!

We were on a 3-night, 4-day safari, so there is a lot of time driving to and from the different parks, all of the time sitting in the truck between animal sightings as well as the time hanging out at meals and at the camps. Seeing the wildlife is the main reason people go on a safari, but all of this "in between time" is what can make or break a good experience. It offers the chance to have a lot of random questions answered, joke around, share stories.... We were so lucky to have Moses to guide, entertain and inform us.

Some highlights: cruising through the beautiful and often rough terrain in an open vehicle with the feeling that you can trust the guide and that he truly has your best interests in mind. seeing every animal we talked about (with the exception of a cheetah) and most 3-5+ times. the trip was very well planned and timed. We never felt rushed and we still got to see everything we wanted. a special drive out to watch the sunrise in the Serengeti, and how Moses so perfectly parked the truck for our pictures. a wide variety of foods prepared fresh and warm from our awesome, happy cook, mood
