WARNING - Nightmare Safari Experience in Tanzania with Peter Roderick I paid for a 10-day safari with my two children (ages 7 and 9), and it’s been a disaster. The itinerary was completely unsuitable, with hours of driving and missed activities. The vehicles were too small, unsafe, with worn-out tires – we had two flat tires and two breakdowns in just three days! The spare wheels were not inflated !!! The car has no air conditioning. The windows are closed manually and you have to guide the window by hand to close it. it's too hot, we have to drive with the windows open, full of dust while my son has breathing problems. it's not serious
At Tarangire, instead of a safari, we spent the afternoon waiting for repairs. Three days wasted and unsafe conditions for my kids. I am demanding a full refund and strongly discourage anyone from booking with this agency.
I want a full refund because I want to be able to find another agency to complete my stay and see at least something of Tanzania.
Please share to warn others !
I never received a refund for the activities not done. But I received insults via WhatsApp from one of our guides following my review. My program was well defined beforehand but nothing was reserved. The day before the activity, Rodrick found a guide by telling them that they "will at least get my tip instead of not having a mission planned tomorrow". As a result, we left every day hours late... in 10 days, 4 different guides and 4 different cars. Each time, unpacking and reloading everything... one of our guides only spoke Swahili. I chose this agency so that my children could speak French with someone there! It was a failure. Only Rodrick from the agency speaks a little French. And it's all lies.
We were supposed to spend a day in a Maasai village, a maximum of 2 hours away and close to the Tarangire safari. Due to poor planning, we drove from 9am to 4pm to pitch our tent and sleep in an improvised place. And drive for hours the next day and miss Tarangire Park (even though I paid for the entrance fees)... To drive for 7 hours the next day to go to Terengeti, even though it was right next to the so-called Maasai village that we were looking for! This is one example from a very...

Read moreToo expensive for just a dala dala ride and a walk. The guide was nice but Rodrick himself took most of the money. Total costs were 240,000 TSH, nothing included. No food only a black coffee.
All in all, very bad experience.
After a discussion about the money and the true costs of the trip gave roderick...
