There aren't enough stars to give Team Kili and the amazing people that lead their treks. We started planning in September and completed our trek in December. Every single step of the process from the first communication to the final drop off and all of the tiny details in between were executed perfectly. Kyle was extremely patient with us as we changed our plans about five times during the planning stages. Once we finally booked they were so great about giving us the details for next steps and all of the information we needed to make a successful trip. Once we actually got to Tanzania, everything went perfectly smooth and the entire team was amazing. Donald, our driver to and from the airport, was so kind and a great driver and made us feel so welcome. Harold and Johnson, our guides on the mountain, were beyond incredible. They were full of so much information and interesting facts during our hike, they communicated flawlessly, they were adaptable and kind and encouraging and made us feel so safe and well cared for on the mountain. We could not have asked for better guides, truly. They even sang Christmas carols with us on our summit attempt to keep morale high and add a little fun to a rough hike! They took some really wonderful photos as well. Our team of porters was also outstanding. Our tents and toilet tent were always set up prior to our arrival, they took great care to keep our things dry and clean despite daily rain, they provided us with phenomenal food every single day, they gave us candles for romantic dinners, and even had a cake and sparkling grape juice for us at the end to celebrate our successful summit and Christmas. One of the highlights was our whole team singing mountain songs to us when we reached camp. Michael was a wonderful server who always had a smile on his face and Noem (pronounced Now-um) seriously cooked incredible food. We also just had the cheeriest team you could imagine. They gave us high fives and fist bumps along the trail and always had a smile on their face. The whole team really seemed to be enjoying the trek.

7 of us summited with Team Kilimanjaro using their special Lemosho Route in January 2025. We were able to see several tour organizations during our hike and can confidently say that TK was the best choice on the mountain. Our guides, Hesbon, Michael, and Peter worked so well together to keep us safe, energized, and learning during our trek. It was a challenging hike, broken into manageable days, and I felt well-supported to do my best each day. This particular Lemosho Route took us to gorgeous camp grounds away from the crowds and helped us to acclimate well prior to summit day.

We opted for the advantage program and really benefitted from the support of our team: Mwasi, Juju, Kizi, Julius, Hussen, Anaeli, Antony, Joseph, Castor Michael, Kelvin, and the rest of the 27 amazing guys. They spoiled us from sun-up to sun-down with the best coffee, Mwasi's awesome cooking, a friendly smile or high five when we were tired, and constant offers to help.

I'm still in awe of the food they managed to cook at altitude, and the personal attention and unwavering strength and positivity each member of the team brought to each day. We had everything we needed thanks to their packing lists, and the efforts of their team.

I would definitely suggest going on their Arusha National Park hike prior to starting the Kilimanjaro trek as it helped me to know what to expect, and gave me a dry-run for packing. It was hot each day around noon, and cold in the evenings. Their suggestions for layers were spot-on. I slept well on the provided mats, sleeping bags were very warm. We were more comfortable at night thanks to ear plugs and hot water bottles.

Local transportation from Donald (airport pick ups) and Edgar (safari driver) was perfect.

Would highly recommend this tour group, and look forward to traveling with them...

Incredible Team – Made Our Kilimanjaro Dream a Reality!

Our group of 12 relatively inexperienced climbers embarked on the 8-day TK Lemosho route from February 2 to February 9, 2025, and Team Kilimanjaro made our dream of summiting Kilimanjaro a reality!

Under the exceptional leadership of Athumani, our Chief Guide, we had a perfect crew of super guides, assistant guides, a dedicated support team, a talented chef, and hardworking porters. Their expertise, professionalism, and unwavering encouragement ensured that our safety, conditioning, and satisfaction remained the top priority throughout the trek.

Athumani’s team instilled confidence in us at every step. Their attention to detail was remarkable—from evening briefings and motivational group chants to personalized support on summit night, where climbers were dynamically reassessed and assisted based on individual needs. The extra care, including help with carrying backpacks, hydration support, and words of encouragement, made all the difference.

A special shoutout to Athumani, Harold, Naiman, Ally, and Joshua, who’s on-the-mountain coaching, technical guidance, and team management gave us the assurance we needed to push forward. Their ability to foster teamwork and camaraderie—whether during trekking, mealtimes, or downtime at camp—helped us stay motivated and determined to succeed.

Speaking of meals, the quality of food at altitude was beyond impressive—delicious, nutritious, and energy-packed, keeping us fueled for the challenging journey.
