The best place we have ever visited and we have been travelling around the world as a family since 2010! OMG Bawe Island took a bit of our soul for the 3 days we had the pleasure of staying in this paradise. It was relatively quiet on the island with 30% capacity and genuinely felt like it was our own private island - private chefs, private shows in the evening and private Butler, Felicia - who deserves special mention, her attention to detail, her immediate availability through our WhatsApp group chat that we created and her good energy elevated our experience at Bawe, she is a real credit to this business and we will never forget her 🫶🏽. We took a private helicopter 🚁 tour against the setting sun which landed on the private beach and provided a stunning aerial view of the splendour and turquoise magnificence of the waters around Bawe, Prison island and then onto Stone Town Zanzibar before returning to the jewel that is Bawe. The food is 10/10 at all the restaurants and caters for every palate. It includes a teppanyaki station with live cooking. We enjoyed the local night on Tuesday night when we got to sample the local produce at an African themed night, including a fabulous potato soup filled with lots of other local produce. Special mention also to the Italian manageress who was lovely and Veronica who started and ended the hospitality at the airport and at Azam Marine, Verde, teaching us the local lingo. We would have given Bawe Island 1000000 stars if it was available, every minute detail was perfect. They made our family birthday extra special with the local show and locally curated chocolate cake! We already miss the island...

The views from the resort are simply breathtaking, making it the ideal escape for anyone looking to unwind and relax.
