We are a family of four who went on safari in Mikumi National Park, Tanzania – an experience we will never forget. From the moment we landed at the airport, we were warmly welcomed by our guide Jeff, who accompanied us throughout the entire journey. He picked us up at the airport, stayed with us during all the safari days, and safely drove us back to Dar es Salaam, where we took the ferry to Zanzibar. Our guide Jeff and driver Noah were incredibly dedicated, friendly, and accommodating from day one. They were very knowledgeable about wildlife and nature, sharing fascinating facts and stories along the way. You could truly feel their passion for the animals and their genuine wish for us to have the best possible experience. We got amazingly close to the animals – elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, buffaloes, and even many lions – and it was breathtaking to see them in their natural surroundings. Every day brought new impressions and unforgettable moments, and it was clear that our guide went above and beyond to make sure we saw as much as possible. He also took care of all the practical arrangements, including tickets, accommodation, and meals, which allowed us to simply relax and enjoy the adventure. Everything was perfectly organized, and both the food, lodges, and transportation were excellent. We felt completely safe and well taken care of throughout the trip, and we could fully enjoy the beauty, peace, and magic of the Tanzanian wilderness together as a family. Exceptional service, spot on kid-friendly safari itinerary! We did a 5 day safari with Jeff in Nyerere and Mikumi. We travelled with 3 small very active children (3,5,7) and Jeff helped put a programme together so that it included our wishes and was easy and enjoyable for the boys as well. Before our journey even started, he spent half a day with us helping with shopping, exchanging currency, etc. Our driver/guide was Sebastian who we cannot thank enough for his knowledge and kindness. Parting with him after the 5 days was not easy, my boys were really sad he had to leave. Truly a kind and genuine soul. We had game drives, early morning bush walk and boat safari, hiked to a waterfall where Margret was also incredible, maasai village tour...exciting and interesting experience. Although very different in style, our accommodations were both comfortable, beautiful and clean, with huge portions of delicious food. Camp Bastian was our kids favourite with the camp fire and forest-like feeling. All in all, even if I could, I would not change a thing about our trip. i have traveled twice with Jeff in the south of Tanzania and his guide Amani. The two give me both times a trip i never forget. The parks SELOUS AND MIKUMA are marvelous. There coming less tourist than in the north and even some different animals there. In MIKUMI NP they bring me to a waterpool, with lots of animals drinking. Than a hurt of elephants coming and the other animals made place for them. I had idea i was in documantary ftm BBC! But on more places i had the idea i was the only in the park. This kind of traveling and see nature is what all hope and Jeff and Amani give it me. Even they know to find where lions rest in afternoon. We are standing to see, other cars had no idea whats to se there. I had both times a very special time with them and if you even want it?? ...
