Exceptional Experience at Embalaki Camps – Outstanding Staff and Service

My recent stay at Embalaki Camps in the Serengeti was nothing short of magical, and the staff played a central role in making it an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles, genuine hospitality, and a level of care that went above and beyond anything I could have hoped for.

The team at Embalaki truly embodies the spirit of the Serengeti. They were attentive to every detail, ensuring that our comfort and satisfaction were always a priority. Whether it was the seamless check-in process, the beautifully prepared meals, or the cozy accommodations in the heart of the wilderness, the staff’s dedication and pride in their work were evident at every turn.

What stood out most was how personable and thoughtful everyone was. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about the wildlife and landscape during the game drives, while also tailoring the experience to our interests. Back at the camp, the chefs prepared meals that were not only delicious but also felt like a special treat in such a remote setting. The servers anticipated our needs before we even voiced them, making each meal a delight.

Perhaps the most touching part of our stay was the staff’s ability to create a sense of home in the Serengeti. They remembered our names, asked about our day with genuine interest, and even arranged a surprise sundowner to celebrate a special occasion. These small, thoughtful gestures truly set Embalaki Camps apart.

The camp itself is stunning, with well-appointed tents that balance comfort and authenticity, allowing you to feel fully immersed in the wilderness. But it’s the staff that makes this place truly exceptional. Their warmth, professionalism, and passion left a lasting impression, and I can confidently say they are the heart and soul of Embalaki Camps.

If you're looking for an unforgettable Serengeti experience with top-tier service and the most caring, attentive team, Embalaki Camps is the place to be. I can’t recommend it highly enough and am already dreaming of...

Our experience at Embalakai was phenomenal. We have continued to talk about how this is one of the coolest places we've stayed on any of our trips and my fiance and I are both avid travelers!

Staff were helpful, always friendly, and very knowledgable. Food was delicious (and when there was a soup or an appetizer I didn't want to eat because of my diabetes, they were always so flexible in bringing me an alt option!), our tent was very comfortable. We traveled across Tanzania for 2.5 weeks and this shower was one of our best in the entire country - both in consistent hot water and water pressure. We could always charge our phones and our cameras at night, and the wifi was reliable in our tent.

We saw a family of monkeys, giraffe, zebra, gazelle, hyena, buffalo, and antelope at camp in our 2 days there, and we heard lions at night! A great launching point for being able to have all-day game drives in the Serengeti.

We always felt safe and protected - the Massai warriors walk you to your room and the main tent at night, and our room was very secure.

Rooms are tented walls with a screen layer and a layer like a blackout curtain, and we slept incredibly well in our king bed. Would absolutely return to...

The tented camp offers an unforgettable experience that beautifully blends comfort with genuine hospitality. I was greeted with a warm smile, and the team made sure I felt completely at ease and at home. My tent was spacious and well-equipped, with mosquito nets, coffee and tea facilities, and excellent Wi-Fi. The bathroom had a hot-water shower, shower gel, shampoo (though no conditioner), and even a toothbrush and toothpaste—though no hairdryer. The main tent serves as both a lounge and restaurant, with the option to dine outdoors. Meals are buffet-style, and the chef did an outstanding job—even catering to my gluten-free diet with care and creativity. The Maasai guards made me feel safe under their watchful eyes, escorting guests to and from their tents after dark. Communication is handled via walkie-talkie, adding to the sense of adventure. Nights were filled with the distant roars of lions—drifting off to sleep to the sounds of the Serengeti was truly magical. I can’t speak highly enough of the friendly and thoughtful staff. Special thanks to Doreen and Monica—you were both amazing! An absolutely enchanting place—wholeheartedly...

Located inside the great Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is a huge park and most visitors would choose to stay inside the park to save the time. We stayed here for 2 nights. The have more than 20 tents at the facility. Each has own hot shower and toilet. The facility has no electric fence around so it is truly in the middle of the wilderness. There is no door or locks at your tent. Only zippers to close the tent entrance. We saw buffaloes right behind our tent at night. Needs escort to go to the main lobby when dark. The buffet breakfast and dinner are good. They have omelette and pasta stations during the meal times. The staffs are very nice. The dance every night during the dinner times. No hot water pot inside the tent. Hair dryer is available at front desk. If you drink a lot of water at night, ask for extra bottled water. If you have some extra bathroom amenities such as lotions and shower caps from other lodges, keep them and you may find them come in handy. Overall a unique experience.

Such an incredible oasis in the middle of the vastness that is the Serengeti. All the modern luxuries, if you like that sort of thing. But also all the beauty of being so close to the natural surrounds, if you like that sort of thing The Maasai warriors made my family feel super safe at night. And I was travelling with an older lady that loves birds. And I'd love to mention a thanks to Masa, one of the Maasai warriors for taking us out for dawn walks nearby to spot some of the wildlife. He's an absolutely lovely man, with a great knowledge of the area. I have so many great memories of this place. And would highly recommend it to any of my friends.
