Arriving from Arusha we didn’t know what to expect of our first ever safari. But my goodness did it not disappoint. Daniel our guide for the next few days collected us from Seronera airport, cool box filled with beers and tasty snacks and off we went straight out for our first game drive. Within 30 minutes we saw a black rhino mother and her calf, and it was then we knew it was going to be a special few days. Camp Ewanjan is truely one of a kind, the decor reminded me of the camp in Disneys Tarzan, dark wooden furniture, suitcases, bookcases, globes etc, it was magical. The food was exquisite! We were so shocked at how fresh, flavourful and well presented everything was. The food was better than what we had at our 5* resort in Zanzibar! The level of service we received from every staff member was amazing, they got to know our names, our likes and dislikes, it felt so personal. I wish I could remember everyone’s names. Kibe was our housekeeper who did us a solid sorting our dusty safari clothes out and washing them for us. David our Maasai guard was brilliant, telling us stories and showing us the paths the animals had taken through the camp from the night before. On our 3rd day Daniel pulled off a miracle and we found 3 lionesses with 10 cubs. After no lion sightings, and him clearly feeling underwhelmed that he hadnt managed to find any, he worked so hard to locate them. On our last evening, Daniel our incredible guide, took me and my husband up a hill around the back of camp and we watched the sunset. He brought us 2 glasses and a bottle of wine and it was such a special ending to the most memorable 4 days. On the morning of our departure the camp staff came to wave us off and I cried haha. It was so hard to say goodbye I couldn’t bring myself to do it. If you are thinking of booking a safari to the Serengeti, ask your tour operator to use Lemala Ewanjan, you will not be disappointed! And to the amazing staff, thank you so so much for making our honeymoon the greatest experience. We miss you, I’m sorry I couldn’t say bye properly haha you were amazing! We absolutely will be back in the future ❤️. Shukrani sana, Kern and Emma

We stayed at Lemala Ewanjan for the safari portion of our honeymoon for 4 nights, and it was truly the best experience of our lives. The tented room was beautiful and had everything you need, and the entire camp had such an authentic feel to it. The staff was so amazing and truly made us feel at home, everyone always had a smile on their face and made sure we had everything we needed. Our butler Goodluck was amazing and the room was always so clean. All of our meals were perfection, we enjoyed the food so much. The game drives were beyond our expectations, and our guide Nam was the best and so knowledgeable. We were so lucky to see so much wildlife on our drives, and we looked forward to coming back to the camp every day. If you are looking for a real Safari experience, this is the perfect hotel for you, we couldn’t recommend it enough!

We had the most amazing time possible. The staff and guides are the absolute best in the business. The level of hospitality is unmatched. We saw every single animal possible and got so close!! But what really made this amazing was people like Peter, Charles, Goodluck, Noel, David and everyone else. We WILL be back with all of our friends and family!

I can’t begin to express how much my husband and I loved the Lemala camp! The service was absolutely amazing and the staff were all so nice and wonderful. We had great conversations with all of them (Elias our server, Swali our room attendant, Denis the camp manager, and David the camp guard). The camp itself is literally in the middle of the Serengeti, so it’s very open and has an outdoorsy feel to it, so if you're not a nature person, this may not be the choice for you. But the perks of being situated right in the middle is that you can wake up and eat breakfast while watching all of your favorite animals off in the field across from camp!!! What a truly amazing experience. We had heard previously that some visitors were not a fan of hearing or seeing the animals so closely, but we absolutely loved that aspect and not once did we ever feel unsafe. They have guards on watch 24/7, and ours was from the Maasai, so they have experience with protecting from everything! I also loved getting to know more about the Maasai people from our guard (David) as well.

We spent 4 days and 3 nights at Lemala camp and then moved to the Serena Lodge at the top of the Ngorongoro Crater for 2 nights. While the views of the crater from the Serena Lodge were absolutely breathtaking and amazing, we actually preferred the Lemala camp because of the service and food. The food was literally top notch…..to the point I kept asking for the recipes!

We would definitely come back to this camp again and would highly recommend it to anyone who loves nature and truly wants to enjoy their safari experience. It was absolutely the trip of a lifetime!!!

Tip: The animals can get noisy, so we just played some white noise on our ipad to...

As a tour operator, we have had the pleasure of working with Lemala Ewanjan Camps and Lodges for several years, and it continues to be one of our top recommendations for luxury accommodations in the Serengeti. The camp's location in the heart of the central Serengeti provides easy access to prime wildlife viewing areas, and the spacious tents are tastefully designed with modern amenities and authentic African decor, creating a comfortable and unforgettable stay for our clients.

What sets Lemala Ewanjan apart is their exceptional service. The staff are warm, attentive, and always go the extra mile to ensure our clients have an exceptional experience. From arranging customized game drives to accommodating dietary restrictions, they truly care about making each guest feel welcome and satisfied.

The culinary experience at Lemala Ewanjan is another highlight. The talented chefs prepare delicious, fresh, and locally sourced meals, accommodating a variety of dietary preferences, and always ensuring a delightful culinary experience for our clients.

Lemala Ewanjan is also committed to responsible tourism and sustainability. They support the local Maasai communities through various initiatives, and their efforts to reduce the camp's environmental footprint through energy and water conservation are commendable.

Overall, we highly recommend Lemala Ewanjan Camps and Lodges to anyone seeking a luxurious and unforgettable safari experience in the Serengeti.
