My husband and I spent our honeymoon climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, and choosing Ultimate Kilimanjaro was absolutely the right call. This team didn’t just help us reach the summit — they created an experience filled with care, compassion, and connection that we’ll remember for the rest of our lives. A few of the things that stood out most to us: Adaptive to Allergies I have a gluten allergy, and from the very first meal to the last, the kitchen team went out of their way to ensure I had delicious, safe food every single time. I never once felt like a burden or an exception — they handled my dietary needs seamlessly and with genuine kindness. It was clear they had planned and prepared for me, and I was so grateful for that thoughtfulness. Attentive to Detail When my Patagonia puffy jacket got soaked one night, one of the crew quietly took it, dried it, and handed it back to me warm the next morning. That level of care and attention was consistent throughout the trip. They noticed what people needed, often before we did, and took it upon themselves to make things easier and more comfortable for everyone. Sensitivity and Comfort for Women As one of only two women on our climb, I was initially a little uncomfortable about certain aspects of camp life, like using the toilet in front of a group of men. The guides handled everything with such empathy, humor, and respect that those worries disappeared quickly. They created an atmosphere where everyone felt at ease. Compassionate, Expert Guides Our guides — Philbert, Hallelujah, Eunook, Gotlib, Ronald, and Elias — were extraordinary. Each brought a unique strength: calm leadership, encouragement, humor, and deep knowledge of the mountain. We had a group with a wide range of personalities and physical abilities, including several people managing medical conditions. The guides supported them every step of the way, from monitoring oxygen levels, proactively calling out pee spots, to pacing adjustments, with patience and grace. Support Beyond the Mountain Even before we started the trek, the team went above and beyond. For those who had forgotten gear or needed medications, they personally accompanied us to local shops and pharmacies to make sure everyone was fully prepared. That kind of help went far beyond logistics — it showed how deeply they cared about each person’s wellbeing. Building a True Team We began the climb as strangers from all over the world, but through the guides’ leadership, humor, and encouragement, we became a team. They built trust, created moments of connection, and helped us cheer for one another through the hardest parts. The Experience of a Lifetime Ultimate Kilimanjaro didn’t just get us to the top; they made sure we enjoyed every step of the journey. Their professionalism, heart, and humanity turned a difficult challenge into one of the most meaningful experiences of our lives. I noticed one of the recent one-star reviews and felt compelled to mention that our experience couldn’t have been more different. The tents were excellent quality — Mountain Hardwear, clean, sturdy, and clearly well cared for — and every tour bus we saw on the mountain was exactly the same style. To me, that review didn’t reflect the incredible service and setup we experienced; if anything, it felt like something written by a competitor rather than a genuine participant. In short, Ultimate Kilimanjaro far exceeded every expectation we had. I can’t recommend them highly enough — they are the best of the best.

I think most people can say an African Safari is a dream vacation. Keeping that in mind choosing the right company to fulfill your dream means you have to hope that company has amazing tour guides. Of course you don’t know that until you are on your Safari. I don’t know how others experienced their guides I can only tell you our guide Dilli did nothing short of making my dream vacation come true. I guess I expected someone to say, “well, here we have the zebras, and there are the giraffes etc”. I did not expect to learn so much on the safari. Dilli is a wealth of knowledge!! I can honestly say I think he answered every question I asked. He would tell us about the animals as we waited for the animal to move or come closer. Sometimes we would see a bird from a distance, Dilli would show us a bird book to see what it looks like so we were able to spot it the next time. As for meals. It was so nice to have a cooked lunch that Dilli would set up on a picnic table for us each day and not have to have a boxed or bag lunch. What a treat. He is the perfect reminder of, “do you have everything?”as well as to see Dilli each morning when he would ask how we slept. I looked forward to his response which always put a smile on my face, “I slept like a baby hippo” or others I will certainly use in the future. When we had the long drives he would teach us some words in Swahili. I have to say Ultimate Kilimanjaro you have an employee who goes above and beyond making peoples dreams come true. Thank you so much and thank you to Dilli for such an unforgettable experience.

From start to finish, Ultimate Kilimanjaro absolutely blew me away. Everything was a 10/10 - the transportation, accommodations, guides, porters, and cooks were all top-notch. The food was incredible - far better than I ever expected to have on a mountain. Every meal felt like it was made with care, and it kept us fueled and happy the entire climb. The staff was second to none. Our guides were professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about every climber’s success and safety. The porters amazed me with their strength and kindness, always greeting us with smiles and encouragement. You could feel that everyone on the team took real pride in what they do. This was truly the trip of a lifetime, and Ultimate Kilimanjaro made it possible. I was blown away by the capability and dedication of every person involved. If you’re considering climbing Kilimanjaro, don’t even think twice - this is the company you want to go with. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else.

On the Mountain I recently embarked on the adventure of a lifetime with Ultimate Kilimanjaro, and it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. Choosing the Lemosho Route: 8 Days proved to be the perfect decision, and I cannot speak highly enough of this incredible tour company.

From the moment we arrived, the service provided by Ultimate Kilimanjaro was nothing short of phenomenal. The entire staff was friendly, kind, and went above and beyond their call of duty to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. They truly made us feel like family throughout the entire journey.

The guides: lead guide August, accompanied by Eric, Kamili, and others. The guides accompanying us on this expedition were exceptionally knowledgeable. Their expertise and understanding of the mountain were invaluable. They provided us with detailed information, helping us navigate the challenges along the way while sharing fascinating insights about the landscape, wildlife, and local culture. Their passion for what they do was evident, and it added an extra layer of enjoyment to the trek.

The porters, with their impressive strength and unwavering dedication, were an indispensable part of the team. They worked tirelessly to transport our gear and set up camp at each stop, all while wearing smiles on their faces. Their assistance was truly remarkable, making our journey easier and more enjoyable.

Speaking of the campsites, everything was impeccably clean. From the bathroom facilities to the dining tent and our individual tents, Ultimate Kilimanjaro ensured a high level of hygiene and comfort throughout the entire trip. It was refreshing to have such attention to detail and cleanliness in such a rugged environment.

Now, let's talk about the food. They call the chef Little Man- Oh my, the food! It was simply amazing. I never anticipated enjoying such delicious meals during a mountain trek. From hearty breakfasts to energizing lunches and satisfying dinners, the culinary creations prepared by Ultimate Kilimanjaro's team were nothing short of remarkable. They accommodated dietary restrictions and catered to individual preferences, ensuring everyone had nourishing and delectable meals to keep us going. He was even able to bake a cake at 16,000 feet for my birthday on summit day.

Booking with Ultimate Kilimanjaro was undeniably the best decision I made for my expedition to Mount Kilimanjaro. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care for their clients shone through every step of the journey. They made the daunting challenge of reaching the summit an achievable and unforgettable experience.

If you're considering an expedition to Mount Kilimanjaro, I wholeheartedly recommend Ultimate Kilimanjaro. Their incredible staff, exceptional service, knowledgeable guides, and amazing porters will make your journey extraordinary. Don't hesitate; book with Ultimate Kilimanjaro and embark on an adventure...

Wow, it’s honestly hard to put into words how amazing my experience with Ultimate Kilimanjaro was!

I recently completed Kilimanjaro hiking the Lemosho route with Ultimate Kilimanjaro and I can say hand on heart from what I witnessed on the mountain they are by far the most professional, happy, knowledgeable, safe and experienced outfit climbing that Kili. I would like to come back in a few years time and do it again with my kids and I will 💯 be going with with Ultimate Kilimanjaro again.

Our leaders - Festo, Robert, Ambrose, Amadeus, Amadeus, Edward & Happygood were so inspirational the whole 8 days they didn’t miss a beet. Between the 7 of them I believe they have over 100yrs experience climbing the mountain and they parted their wisdom every step of the way. They were fun light-hearted making the days a breeze with great banter and conversation but they also knew when it was time to get serious. They were right by your side literally through every technical part of the hike, helping, encouraging and making sure everyone made it safely. At the tricky parts you could find 3 or 4 guides surrounding you helping with foot and hand placement. And then on summit night their expertise went next level! They advised we were to leave a little earlier than originally planned (to much grumbling and disappointment in the group) but this decision alone probably saved us up to another 3hrs or climbing and waiting at Uhuru Peek. On the summit climb the guides were truely inspirational, carrying our backpacks when we struggled, nonstop encouragement and even breaking into song to lift our spirits. One guide even rubbed my hands for a few minutes on a break to help me warm up. I certainly wouldn’t have made it without them!

The Cooks - Unbelievable!! I have coeliac disease along with some other group members who also had dietary requirements and they never missed a beet. Everyday we had 3-5 course meals 3x daily and the cooks knew exactly what everyone’s requirements were. Not to mention the food was fresh and amazing with variety everyday.

The Porters - The most amazing bunch of happy, friendly, get the job done without complaint people. They went above and beyond to make sure we were all comfortable and had everything we needed. Camp was always setup before we arrived and they greeted us with smiles support every step of the way.

In summary: Value for money - Yes. Experience - 100x better than I expected. Knowledge/guidance - Outstanding. Medical expertise - Outstanding (both their knowledge of altitude sickness and daily medical checks). Would I use them again - 💯 I would and I would recommend them to anyone wanting to attempt to climb Kili Improvements -...
